About US

The Parakeet and the Huz live in Chicago.  She came here to act and he came to build things. They met more than ten years ago when she was acting and he was building things in a much smaller town called Kilgore.

Together they like to Hike, Travel and try new recipes. They also get addicted to tv shows and then fill up their netflix queue and watch hours in a row like they’re getting paid for it. They never do actually get paid for it. Which is a let-down. Every. Time.

Separately, the Huz enjoys brewing his own beer, photography and building stuff – he’s started his own custom furniture business – www.jrrwoodworks.com. Their apartment is lucky to hold a few of his first projects and designs.  The Parakeet reads and cooks and sometimes runs. She also has a successful business with Arbonne – www.hoyerrussell.myarbonne.com.

They have one baby – who now calls himself a “big boy” – Little O, born in August of 2008.  He’s pretty great and they are happy living as a family of three. . . .for now.
